National Sport's Day Celebration

National Sport's Day 2026

  Sports Competitions

  Two competitions were conducted as part of the celebration:

         4 km Mini Marathon

         Dand-Baithak Competition

  Nearly 100 students participated enthusiastically in the competitions.

  The winners were felicitated with the following prizes:

           First Prize: ₹1,101/-

           Second Prize: ₹751/-

           Third Prize: ₹501/-0

  Consolation Prizes: ₹151/- for three participants in each competition

  Special Guests

  The programme was graced by the presence of distinguished guests:

  Shri Madan Kawre, Former Ranji Trophy cricketer and Coach

  Dr. Parimal Tayde,

  Shri Darvindersingh Gahalot, Retired Navy Colonel

  The guests interacted with the participants and shared their valuable insights and experiences, encouraging the students   to pursue physical fitness and develop discipline and determination in their lives.

  Two students from the Ramakrishna Math Hostel delivered brief speeches on the life and sporting career of Major   Dhyanchand highlighting his dedication, discipline, perseverance, and contribution to Indian hockey.

  Swami Raghavendrananda, Adhyaksha and Swami Jnanagamyananda also addressed the youth.

 To appreciate their participation, all students were given:

  Breakfast

  The Shri Ramakrishna Vivekananda Seva Samiti, Bhadravati, Chandrapur, a private centre also organized a National Sports   Day celebration at its centre. Various sports competitions, including Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Spoon Race, and Football, were   conducted with enthusiastic participation from the students and youth.

  The celebration successfully integrated sports awareness and character building, encouraging students to develop physical   fitness, discipline, teamwork, and positive values. The active participation of students and support of the guests contributed  to the success of the programme, reinforcing the message of “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat.”
